History

Douglas GAA is a club with a rich history.

The club was formed in 1887 when we competed in our fist Senior Hurling Championship.

Before the foundation of douglas GAA Club, a number of smaller clubs based in douglas existed, before coming together to form    St. Columbas.
 

In 1938, the name was officially changed from St. Columbas to Douglas GAA.
